Snatch: 90 C&J: 115 Row: 9.52.2 <- I had no clue what 60% was/is. I did like 4 different math problems with my numbers and got 4 different answers, so I just decided to row at an easy pace!
Take your 2k time (7:00 for example) and convert to seconds (420 in this case). Multiply seconds by .4 (420 x .4 = 168). Add that number to your original 2k time. (420 + 168 = 588). Convert seconds back to mins. (9:48 in this case.)
Another example. 8:00 is 480 seconds is 480 + 192 = 672 which is 11:12.
If you take Brandon's first example at the point where he had 588 total seconds- divide that by 4 first and then convert back to minutes and you'll get your target 500m splits (588 / 4 = 147 seconds per 500m ; 147 / 60 = 2.45 minutes per 500m ; .45 * 60 = 27 seconds. 2:27 500m splits)
BTW- I'm at school, so for some reason it logged me on through my Google acct I had to make for a class during the summer of 2011. This was just before Regionals and I was growing out a 'stache as you can tell by the pic.
I also happen to be wearing a pretty sweet shirt!!
Incidentally, if you go to my profile, one of my blogs is Adventures TPTE 486 (click the link at the top of my profile) and the second entry from the top (June 29, 2011) has a video embedded in it entitled "Crocodile Teeth" that I had to make for that class.
Strapped on a sauna suit (courtesy of the Gregory's - thank you) then rowed for 30 minutes and airdyned for 15. Sweat like a mutha, then fasted for the rest of the day. Weighed in at a lean 186.8 this morning. Down 7 lbs in 4 days.
HS: 85 PC&J:125 Row: Tried to keep close to my pace but it was just so slow. finished around 10:30 was suppose to be just over 11 min mark. But even with chatting I found myself going faster than the set pace. My bad dog.

Saturday 2/9/13
ReplyDeleteI had to post how today's workout went for me even though there is not a Saturday WOD post.
First, I hope to see some big PRs from people in the ETSU meet.
Second, today was probably the best lifting day for me, personally, ever.
Snatch: 220 (Pretty much a PR)
C&J: 265 PR
FS: 305 PR
Three PRs in one day? I'm tempted to never lift again for the rest of my life...
Did a WOD with the wife, too:
"Double Fibonacci" (I'm reading The DaVinci Code right now)
5 min AMRAP:
2- UB Double PC @ 185, 45
5- Pull ups
7- Push ups
12- Air Squats
7+4 & 5+7
Rest 5 mins
5 min AMRAP
3- HSPUs
6- KB Snatches (3 each arm) 70, 10
9- GHD It ups
15- OWLs 45, 15
3+3 & 4
Gonna take a nap now. Bye bye...
this was my saturday work since I had to do saturday on friday.
