If you know me, you know I don't like having conversations that should never need to happen. Just like a dog shouldn't be allowed to crap on the pavement outside the gym, people should be responsible for picking their crap up after their workout. I hate to be the grumpy father here, but I am thinking about dropping competitor programming at this point and only giving the option to workout with the group classes. I will not pick up another DB, belt, strap, plate, bar, tape, pre-wrap, Starbucks coffee spill blocker, note card, or any other item left out. Fix this problem.

Today was fun. FS felt good- good weight, good reps. The MetCon was horrible. I loved it.
It was so horrible that I wished pain upon Grant- between rounds 3 and 4- equivalent to that of a skinned knee (I mean, come on, I don't want to maim or disfigure him- but a skinned knee, ABSOLUTELY!!)

Solid day. Front Squat was good, Metcon was challenging. I'm there with Patrick, I was only unmad at Grant after I ate food.
Speaking of Grant, I read the post this morning and it felt like dinner after Dad hits Mom at the dinner table. Figured I'd lighten the mood and say that Grants pigeon pose is immaculate. Seriously, go to Yogility and make a better decision.

ReplyDeleteFailed the third rep at 180 each time. I had the bar so deep in my throat I couldn't get a deep breath to get tight on the third and dropped my elbows on the way up each time trying to breathe. lol.
Metcon: I really have to get better at keeping track of my score.
I was basically a few sit ups short of 3 each time. I may have gotten three once, but I got to the sit ups each time. Didn't feel too terrible, just had to find my pace once I got warmed up.
Overall, not hating life right now.
I've changed my mind, after sitting on the couch for an hour my legs are hating you G.

I don't think I have ever procrastinated as much as I did today when it came to start the met con... I did find a good pace though, which was good, because sometimes I have a tough time finding that balance of continuing to work without resting and being able to withstand that over a period of time. I am quite convinced I will be completely unable to walk tomorrow.
