Scaled back my horizontal running today. Got some bench db press in 3x10 @35,40,45. 3x10 of inclined bench rows @ 105. Went for a ten min cruise on the bike and ended with 3 x 60 sec plank holds.
Snatch: 210, no drop sets C&J: 260 (PR tie), no drop sets Squat: Used 315, EMOM x 3
8 mins even with 57lb DBs
For all intensive purposes, 57lbs is the most I can put on my DBs. Anything over that and I have to put a metal 25lb plate on each end of my changeable DBs (they hold Olympic plates) and they are too large to use for things like DB Hang Cleans. Still 57 was a good workout, and I don't think I would have gone over 60 if I had my choice of DBs. Well, maybe 65 :)
Snatch @205 - no misses, which I was very happy about. Seems like shoulders are finally recovering. Don't know how I missed 210. I felt like I could've pulled 225 easily today, but I still wanna take it easy on the shoulders. Drop sets @175 Video of 205 and 210 fail - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5c0HoQWuGT4 CnJ - 265, drop sets at 225 MetCon - 8:32 @ 60#. Had to do the set of ten twice because a lady didn't know I was using the GHD for a MetCon so I stopped after she climbed on and started again...
Not one of my better workout days... Started lifting, and just realized I had nothing in my tank. Ended up doing 155# CJ EMOTM for 5 min. Then I jumped in with the 6:00am class and did their metcon. Just worn out from a super long Tuesday, and had nothing. Probably should have taken the day off, but realized that after going into the gym, so I just tried to get something accomplished. I feel like it's just a bit of an off week for me.
Sn: DB Snatch worked up to 70lbs (w/ no chalk); 55's C&J: DBs @ 50lbs; 40s Squat: 160x5x2 MC: Did Tuesday's Mc but with an elliptical/treadmill and jump rope (Used what I could work with at the med student gym)
