Also, I don't have parallettes, so I used two 45# bumpers and one 25# bumper stacked on each side. Totaled 9 3/4" to ground. Used an AbMat for my sensitive noggin

ReplyDeleteMC: Used 30lb DBs and 1 abmat - First round tried highest parallettes and 1 abmat and couldn't get out of hole so did 6 attempts. Next rounds just used the DBs and an abmat to change the grip orientation. After I tried stacking plates under the DBs and was successful for 6 reps with the 15 and 20 kile plates stacked plus the 30lb DBs which was about 1/2 of the high parallettes and abmat depth. I need to work on shoulder and tricep strength to come out of the hole with that orientation.
