Lifting was hard this morning. Not going to lie. I still feel pretty wrecked (legs) from Friday, but did hit all of my lifts, so I was happy there. Metcon was super tough for me. I didn't sprint it, but more just tried to find that pace I could maintain. I probably won't be "walking" tomorrow. Overall a very hard, but good day in the gym. Thankful that KTG was there to lift and metcon beside!

ReplyDeleteTough day here also. Maybe I'm sick of being sick or maybe I'm more beat up from Saturday than I'm allowing credit for. Either way today sucked. You know that song by Limp Bizkit, Break Shit? Yeah, that's how I felt today. To quote Fred, "It's just one of those days."

Did conditioning tonight. I hit the highest I've seen on my HR Monitor since I got it, 188. Good thing I wasn't wearing it during 13.2. All cleans in 5's and 4's. T2B was slow. The pullup bar at work is tight on the wall, so no kipping. Who makes a pullup bar with a gloss finish? Rows were 307 and 308M on there not C2 Rower. 2R+30

Count me in as today being a tough day, too. Calves still so sore it hurts to walk. They don't feel too much better compared to yesterday. Felt tired and extremely slow with the bar (pulling, jumping under- everything was in slow motion).
ReplyDeleteThat being said, lifting went ok. Hit all snatches, no misses. Cleaned 85% twice but missed the jerk, went up to 90% and got the clean (275) for the second time in my life, and it went up relatively smoothly and quickly compared to the last time I attempted/got 275. Missed the jerk though. Got 285 FS for 2 reps and 2 sets. It wasnt too long ago 285 was my 1RM...
Grip was the limiting factor on the MetCon.

*Thankful for Crissy on this one or else I prolly would've "run out of time." I stayed at about an 80% pace, so as not to FRY my legs. My T2B were the best they've ever been in sets of 10 UB each time!
Did different work today. my back was no bueno when I woke up this morning, I guess spending most of the day yesterday under a bathroom sink didn't help it
