Monday 3/4/13

Hang snatch: 60%x3, 70%x3x2, 80%x3x3
Behind the neck jerk: 60%x4, 65%x4x2, 70%x3x2
Conditioning: 12 minutes – even minutes 3 power cleans + 3 front squats @ 70% of clean, odd minutes 3 bench press + 3 muscle-ups @ very manageable weight – err to side of too light
Conditioning: 1k row @ 90% of 500m pace

8 comments:

  1. snatch: 80-95 (I missed my third hsnatch on my first triple at 95, then I missed my second hsnatch on my second triple at 95, so I called it quits on the hsnatch. My legs are so tight and tired still from Saturday that I had no tension in the bottom of my squat so I couldn't catch well at all.)

    behind the neck jerk: 100-110-115

metcon: 115 fs & 85 bench (fs felt fine, it was the bar touching the quads on the cleans that was terrible!)

conditioning: 4:17.8 (I felt like I was pulling really powerfully, but apparently I was not. This was legitimately 90% of what I had in me today!)

  2. Snatch: 95-105-115 (missed a couple of reps at 115...got through two easily, but typically missed my third rep)
Behind the neck Jerk: 120-130-140 (these felt quick and better than last time I did them)
Conditioning #1 (130# FS and 105# bench)- did MU unbroken
Conditioning #2: 4:05 I'm with Katie on this one. I was pretty frustrated with my time but honestly that is my 90% effort for today. I just had nothing in me.

Today...I'm still very sore, but honestly what got me more was just tons of fatigue in my legs. One set of something and I was toast. One of those mornings where even when you give 100%, it just doesn't look quite like the normal 100%, but when all is said and done, I know pushing through these days make us stronger.

  3. Skipped Saturday so did squats today: 155, 175, 200 (@200 - got 1st set of 3, then last two sets as 6 singles)

Listening to the coaches & not doing any pulling or grasping for a week, FOR REAL this time.

CBo was kind enough to provide modified conditioning:
8 1/2 mins on AirDyne - kept it between 4&5 the first half, second half between 3.5&4 until last minute and a half at 4. No clue what those numbers on the dial really mean/are measuring, but it gave me something to shoot for.
    then
    18 mins, alternating EMOM:
    evens 3 frankenstein FS @95 & 6 total 18" step-ups @45
    odds 30 sec DU
Continuing to embrace humility w/r/t DU, but am investing in a rope of my own so perhaps that will help.

  4. HS: 135,155,175 missed #1 on set 2/2, #3 on 3/1, and #2 on 3/2
    Jerks felt good: 145, 165,175
Made all rounds on Cond 1. Cleans/FS 175/Started bench at 205 but pulled 10's and went 185 after R2. Then it felt too easy.

I will row tonight on our sweet, not C2 Rower, at work. At least I can get on a rower, but times are off.

  5. HS: 140, 160, 185 (Missed my very last rep of 185. The only one. Displeased.)
    BTNJ (Power): 170, 185, 200

Conditioning: Used 225 for PC & FS and since my rings are not good for MUs, I did 6 reps BP @185 per round.

Tried to keep the row around 1:40, but it fell towards the end. Time - 3:27

Should have rested more before the row. The PC & FS @ 225 was a moderate challenge for me. I wouldn't say it was easy, but I could have done more rounds. It felt good. So mad I missed the very last HS. I was too in my head and kept thinking, last one don't miss it, don't miss it- and missed it off the front. I screamed. Wish my rings were higher and could've done MUs, but 185 was a nice light weight ( can't lie, I'm a little sore from the vested Half Murph I did yesterday, too).

Good day. I wish everyday felt like this.

  6. Snatch 85, 95, 110
Hate the squat part. constantly fail reps in the bottom of the squat.
    jerk 110, 120, 130
    Quick and easy

    Metcon
    Fs and cleans @ 130
    bench @ 115
Cleans were easy, figured out just how sore my legs are from Saturday on those front squats.

    row 3:50
Had no push in the legs. by this point the soreness had just turned to sluggish in the ole legs.
