Wednesday 3/13/13

Hang power snatch: 60%x3, 65%x3, 70%x3x2 – work on quick change of direction
Clean and jerk: 60%x3+1, 70%x3+1, 80%x3+1x2
Snatch pull: 85%x3x4
Front squat: 60%x3, 70%x3, 80%x3x3
Conditioning: 4RFT – 250m row,  20 unbroken wallballs

I changed the conditioning slightly.  I have a feeling on 13.2, but more than that I have a feeling that you all need to be getting more wallball work.

  1. HPSnatch @165 - Felt SUPER heavy, due to snatching and lots of lifting yesterday instead of Monday.

    Did original conditioning of Rowing/DU's Unbroken - 6:24. Missed a rep at 43 and 32 on the first round...frustrating.

    good mornings for pulls: 4x3 @ 100

    did row/DU conditioning, except AirDyne hard 1 minute for row and DU were certainly not unbroken. Took 18:21.

    Conditioning: 7:45

  4. I love those days when I leave the gym and feel like a champ because every single thing I did felt amazing. Today was one of those days :)

    HSnatch: 80-90-95 (got in my hips...nbd)
    C&J: 100-115-130
    Snatch Pull: 115 (felt light...woopwoop!)
    Front Squat: 120-140-160
    Metcon: did the old one since I did it at 6 am - 7:13 (every set was UB...didn't have to re-do any of them! pleased with this)

  5. HPS 85, 90, 95
    These felt good and light. C Greg helped me actually use my hips and then they felt really easy.

    Clean and jerks 110, 130, 145
    First two sets felt ok, jerk was easy. but my legs did not want to stand up on the last set. they just felt fatigued.
    with the way my legs were feeling I decided to forgo the front squats especially considering I did a lot of work on hang power cleans before all this.

    Metcon: 4rft 250 row, 20 ub wall balls.
    8:39 + extra 100 meters, kennel cough, and some skank trying to make me smile/almost break on third set of walls balls.
    I truely hate wall balls.

  8. Came back to do more work in the PM - really sore from making-up Mon + Tues in one day.

    Only did Cleans; finished @250x3+1 x2, but failed jerk on the second set. So worn out, and legs felt so tired after so much volume in two days.

    Happy to rest for at least 36 hours.

  9. Did the lifting this am, and will come back this evening to finish up the other

    HPS: 95, 95, 105 (felt heavy, but didn't fail so I was pleased with that)
    CJ: 110, 130, 140 (felt slow and legs were tired)
    Snatch pull: 125 (this actually felt good)
    FS: 125, 140, 160 (felt okay, but still a little tired)

    Overall lifting just felt a little slow today, but made it through everything.

    Front squat: this ain't me either
    Conditioning: 7:26

    Legs feeling a little toasty. Haven't been waking up in the middle of the night any more, but that could be the melatonin I've been taking every night. Resting today and tomorrow for the open Saturday.

  11. Hang PC (thumbs so raw!): 70/75/80
    Clean & Jerk: (worked on full squat): 90/110/120 got 4/6 on 80% sets
    Snatch Pulls: 95
    FS: 90/105/120 FYI, my 1RM was 120 less than a year ago and I was able to do 9 there. Woohoo.
    Conditioning: 9:00 (or possibly just under that bc I had to time myself with my phone) Although the last set of WBs was UGLY they were all unbroken. Thanks to Ryan and Miss J for keeping me moving!!!!

    C&J: 145, 175,195 heavy out of the hole on the last couple, jerk felt good
    Front Squat: skip, I hit back squat yesterday
