*I really worked on getting into my hips on this (and I did), but when I tried 120, it wasn't happening, which is annoying because I've done 125 before. Oh well, just refer back to my first paragraph.

*These felt really light and quick, which was a nice change from paragraphs 1 & 2!
front squat 1 1/4: 115-135-150-165-175-185(F2nd)
*I don't think there is anything more terrifying than failing a 1 1/4 front squat. K, so maybe there is, but not at 5:50 am. Scratch that, the next paragraph explains my fears, but I went to the point of HEAVY and failed my 2nd at 185. 185 was my goal on this so I'll keep practicing :)
conditioning: I'm going to do it tomorrow night when we don't play because I'm TERRIFIED to run around those lots by myself at 5 am! Could it be because I can barely stay home alone? Or could it be that KTown is surrounded by woods? Maybe it's that all the businesses around Ktown involve truckers and that scares me. It's actually a combo of all 3. I'll be back when it's light outside and there are other humans (good ones, from CFKT, and mainly my husband) around to take care of me. See you tomorrow, c2b pull ups!
HSnatch + OHS: 205. Caught 210 (which is a HSnatch PR, I believe), but couldn't OHS it today.

ReplyDeletenot bad at all, infact cause I can't read well I did four the first set instead of the 4 sets of 2. lol
Really trying to work on my form on these hang pulls by actually having the bar travel down my thighs and not just my weird hip pop movement.

Worked up to this weight. First few reps felt smooth and easy, then I started playing my usual mental game. But I was just dumping them at the bottom of the squat cause I would come off tension and didn't want to attempt to stand it up with my back. But I knocked them all out and prob plus a few more.

my forearms were burning on this one. and man my pull ups just seem to get worse for some reason.
Just got back from SC around 2 today and I'm going to take a rest day. Placed 2nd over the weekend at a garage games competition with Joey.
ReplyDeleteFirst workout was 10 min: 2k row, max rep burpees. We got 90 burpees (with 5 no reps due to "hopping off the mat", which he wasn't telling us as we were going)
Second workout was 10 min: 3 pc, 3 fs, 3 s2oh @155. We got 228 reps (25 rounds +3)
Third workout was 50 dubs, 20 30" box jumps, 16 pistols on the box; 40, 15, 12; 30, 10, 8. Got 8:16 on that.
Fourth workout was 5 min to establish max strict press (from the ground). I pressed 195. (20 lb pr)
Fifth workout was 200m run, I did Randy, then Joey did Grace, 200m run. I did randy sub 3:30 and we finished in 7 some minutes.
Not feeling sore, but very sleep deprived from sleeping on the floor last night.
